Choir of women - The Waterfall
In this variation of the Women’s Choir, the scene takes the form of a glass mosaic tableau, where the molded glass faces and golden ceramic hands literally escape from the frame. This spatial exit creates a tactile connection with the viewer, as if the women are coming to meet them.
In the background, a waterfall is hinted at by the vertical orientation of the glass fragments, which collide and shatter in swirls against the horizontal surface of the body of water. The five women bathe in it, serene and playful, their golden hands emphasizing tenderness and complicity.
The shimmering colors of the glass, combined with the affectionate posture of the figures, create a scene that is both lively and soothing. Their silent singing seems to blend with the lapping of the water, creating a sound bath where light, matter, and emotion intertwine.
