Collective Exhibition of Artists

We founded the association l’Appel des Muses (“The Call of the Muses”) to bring together and promote a collective of artists during the National Artists’ Days (Journées Nationales des Artistes – JNA).
On this occasion, artistic and cultural events will be organised every year, with a particular focus on the visual arts.
To make these days even richer in encounters and exchanges, we will also welcome musicians, writers and poets.
We have chosen to bring together local amateur artists and professional artists in the same event.
This year, we are organising a collaboration between artists and photographers, who will work in pairs (one artist and one photographer).
The exhibition, which will be the culmination of this creative experience, will showcase the connection between the two participants through installations created by each pair, including:

• A selection of artworks by the visual artist;
• A selection of photographs by the photographer;
• In addition, photographs taken by the photographer of the artist at work, creating a link between the two creative practices.

Each installation will be conceived as a small staged environment, a unique world or creative bubble. Every pair will be free to imagine and present its own interpretation for visitors to discover.
Alongside the exhibition, participating artists will also lead a variety of activities, including:

• Small concerts and/or musical workshops;
• Visual arts workshops;
• Demonstrations;
  Public readings;
• Talks and lectures, including The Role of Photography in the Evolution of Art (from Impressionism to Abstract Art).
