Gigi and Rodrigo, on stage

With Gigi & Rodrigo, on stage, the passion of tango is no longer merely suggested: it is staged. This colored and thermoformed glass sculpture, already imbued with the tension, momentum, and sensuality of the couple in motion, is here set within a setting that amplifies its drama.

The two dancers cling, brush against each other, and support each other in a suspended posture, all contained energy. The glass, fluid and vibrant, captures the light and reflects it in the striped pants, the arch of a back, or the tension of a hand. The facial expressions, both gentle and offbeat, reveal the emotional depth of the moment.

Placed in front of a red curtain, a symbol of theater and passion, the bodies seem to emerge into the light, as if captured at the climax of a step. This curtain, treated as an architectural element, materializes the stage and gives the work a new interpretation: that of a performance suspended between reality and abstraction.

Gigi & Rodrigo, on stage” thus celebrates the alchemy between two bodies and matter, as well as the magic of live performance, captured here in a moment of eternity.
